Cameroon is the 24th country to have qualified for the World Cup Brazil on the 17th of November 2013. Cameroon was 1 of the 10 CAF countries to play the continental play-offs. For a few days it was believed Cape Verde would be their opponent since the group of islands initially defeated Tunisia with 2-0. However FIFA sanctioned the Cape Verdean islands due to an ineligible player in the match against Tunisia. Therefore the World Cup 2014 Cameroon national team played eventually against Tunisia. In their first match of the play-off 0 goals were scored. The 2nd match ended with a totally different result: 4-1 for Cameroon. Pierre Webó, Benjamin Moukandjo and Jean Makoun were the goal scorers. With an aggregate score of 1-4, Cameroon can prepare themselves for their 7th World Cup.
